ATTEMPTS TO ENGLISH POETRY
Bienvenido A. Ramos
SUDDENLY, IT RAINS
I kissed the frigid
summer that lay bare
in brown stalks strewn in virgin fields of adolescence.
Depression are false alarms
of an inutile weather bureau
forecasting my doom
Suddenly, it rains
in summer, and the brown stalks
were drowned in droplets of neurotic
And the decaying flesh
and dying soul.
